3 March | King Johns House | Romsey | SO51 8BT
Venture Cinema and King Johns House are pleased to bring you an evening not-so-heroic knights, very silly quests, killer rabbits and endlessly quotable insults.
Explore the museums wide and ecclectic exhibitions featuring 750 years of history before settling down with some popcorn and a drink under the wooden rafters of the Tudor House Hall to watch the timelessly hilarious, cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Parodying the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a comedic send-up of the often grim circumstances of the Middle Ages. With Knights riding around on imaginary horses, a killer bunny rabbit and the perilous Castle Anthrax this film is entirely silly. Yet even without the gags it's cinematography and imagery does well to depict the Dark Ages in all it's muddy, bloody glory.
Door open at 6.30pm when guests can enjoy a special evening viewing of the anglo-saxon exhibition, before the film screening at 7.30pm. Spaces are strictly limited so book your ticket now.
