Suffragette

Venture Cinema and Watts Gallery are pleased to bring you a special one-night screening of Suffragette, to coincide with the centenary celebrations of women being allowed to vote and Mary Watts's contribution to the Suffrage Movement.

Suffragette is a powerful film about the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement, women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State.

Watts Gallery is a stunning countryside gallery dedicated to the Victorian era painter and sculptor George Watts. The screening will take place in one of the main galleries, and guests will have time during an interval to explore and take in a wealth of history and culture.
