About the Event
This summer Hatchlands Park is hosting 3 incredible outdoor cinema events. Grab your folding chairs and blankets as the sun sets and settle down for some big screen magic in the intimate surroundings of the 18th century courtyard.
The festival kicks off with the all singing all dancing 70's musical with a soul, Dirty Dancing. Baby is one listless summer away from the Peace Corps. Hoping to enjoy her youth while it lasts, she's disappointed when her summer plans deposit her at a sleepy resort in the Catskills with her parents. Her luck turns around, however, when the resort's dance instructor, Johnny, enlists Baby as his new partner, and the two fall in love. Baby's father forbids her from seeing Johnny, but she's determined to help him perform the last big dance of the summer.
Doors open at 20.00 for a 20.45 start time. Food and drink will be served at each event. The courtyard is cobbled so please bring suitable chairs or cushions to sit on. When the sun sets the temperature drops considerably so please bring warm clothing.
